Q: What kinds of services do you provide?

A: We provide services in 4 main categories. They are graphic design, website design and development (including hosting), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and printing products and services.

Q: Why do I need to hire a professional graphic designer? I can do it myself.

A: The main reason you should always use a professional graphic designer is because it will save you time. Your time is money. Graphic design isn’t what you do for a living and your time would be better spent doing what you do best. Our design team is skilled in using the latest creative technology to produce stunning graphics for you. We take the ideas you bring to us and create exactly what you need and want. A professional designer will employ the latest professional tools to develop your work. The files created are the kind that printers and web developers expect to receive in order to produce professional output. Moreover, a professional designer will consider contrast, color, proximity, repetition, alignment, typography and much more when designing for you.

Q: How do I choose the right graphic designer for me?

A: Designers each have their own strengths, but there are a few things you want to consider when choosing a designer.

      1. Do you like the examples of past work in their portfolio? This is a simple way to determine the talent level of the design firm
      2. Do they complete their projects on time and on budget?
      3. We usually have a close relationship with our customers from the time they set foot in our office to the time that the project is completed and beyond. You should only select a designer that you feel comfortable communicating with and one who can take your feedback and implement it into the final design.
      4. A good designer will have and be proficient using industry standard design software.

Q: What makes Flitch Creative different from other designers?

A: It is our approach to design. We treat each project more like engineering than art. While we create beautiful graphics for you it is our main concern that the design we create for you will work for your primary target audience. A nice looking ad without purpose is well… just a nice looking ad. We also believe in educating our clients. We have a thorough questionnaire that we go over with the client before we begin on their project. This insures that the client and Flitch Creative are on the same page with regards to the project.

Q: What if I don’t know what I need, can you help me?

A: Many people we work with have a vague idea of what they want, but they don’t know how to go about getting there. This is where our design staff excels. With our custom client questionnaire as our guide we will narrow the focus of your design project to meet your needs. It’s easy for you to come in, answer a few questions, then leave it in the hands of our creative designers. We can help put things into perspective and offer solutions that you may not have considered.

Q: Why is Corporate Branding important?

A: Your logo and look are the first things customers will see and remember about your company. It is literally your first opportunity to introduce yourself and represent who you are and what your company is. It is important to represent yourself visually in a way that matches the integrity and professionalism of you and your company.

Q: Who owns the copyright for work Flitch Creative has done for me?

A: The client maintains full ownership of work done upon payment. Flitch Creative reserves the right to use any and all work done for use in our professional portfolio.

Q: Why is it important to have all of your graphic design done with the same design firm?

A: In a word, continuity. Having all your assets developed under one roof guarantees that your message and look will stay consistent. It will save you time and money. It is more convenient for you. Because you will be working with one design team you only have to convey your ideas once, rather then trying to explain the same thing to multiple design firms.

Q: Is it really necessary to SEO (Search Engine Optimize) my website?

A: The short answer is YES! It is important for your target market to find you using popular search engines. If your website isn’t properly SEO’d, you will not appear on the first few pages of search results. This is important because most people don’t click beyond the second results page before giving up and moving on.

Q: What is the client’s involvement in the design process?

A: We thoroughly discuss the project at hand with our client from the beginning. We encourage the client to bring in any samples, color combinations/swatches, and ideas they may have. During the design process, the client is asked to approve certain milestones before work continues.

Q: What types of payment do you accept?

A: We accept Cash in US Dollars, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.

Q: How will I receive my design project once it is finished?

A: A finished project is yours upon receipt of final payment. We will supply the electronic files to you digitally through e-mail or via CD or DVD upon request. We also keep a copy of your project on file for later updates or should you lose your copy, though we cannot guarantee a replacement.

Q: What graphic design software do you use?

A: We use primarily Adobe Creative Suite.

Q: How can I determine what is good graphic design?

A: Although the answer to this question is quite subjective, in short, a design is successful when it appeals to the consumer and makes them react. That response might be a person making a decision to purchase a new product, or something a little harder to evaluate like brand recognition. It may be an emotional response, such as laughter, or even shock. A good design should communicate the intended message effectively.

Q: Will my website work on mobile devices?

A: Yes. All of our websites are built with mobile devices in mind. Because tablets and smart phones continue to increase their market saturation, having a “mobile friendly” website is a must. You don’t want to miss out on a potential sale because your website won’t display properly on someone’s handheld device.

Q: What type of web languages do you use to build websites?

A: We design our websites using Web 2.0 standards. We use HTML, HTML 5, CSS, PHP, Javascript, and Flash.
